Welcome to my cozy little corner of the internet—where creativity, curiosity, and a bit of controlled chaos come together. I’m Caitlin—history lover, DIY enthusiast, and stay-at-home cat mom with a little OCD, a lot of ADD, and a passion for making things beautiful. I live in Northern Virginia with my fiancé, John, and our two mischievous Ragdoll munchkins, Rocco & Remy, who keep life entertaining. After a decade in the wine and spirits industry, I realized I wanted something more—something creative, fulfilling, and truly my own. So, I took the leap, and here we are.
This journey has been anything but linear. I’m still learning, still experimenting, and still figuring things out as I go—whether that means rearranging a room for the tenth time, tackling a DIY that doesn’t go as planned, or discovering new ways to make a space feel like home. What started as a creative outlet has become a process of embracing imperfection, trusting my instincts, and finding joy in the work itself. Anthemion Aesthetics is a work in progress, just like me, and that’s exactly how I like it.

It’s never too late to follow your dreams and build something that feels right. Thanks for being here and supporting this journey—I hope you find a little inspiration, a few ideas, and the encouragement to create a life you love, one project at a time.

The word anthemion comes from the Greek anthos, meaning “flower,” and originally referred to the floral motifs adorning ancient Greek and Roman architecture.

Also known as the palmette, this intricate decorative element features a fan-shaped design inspired by palm leaves, honeysuckles, and lotus blossoms—natural motifs that have influenced art and architecture for centuries.

Its origins trace back to ancient Egyptian
art, and as it spread across Eurasia, it became
a hallmark of classical design, embellishing temples, ceramics, manuscripts, jewelry, and more.

At Anthemion Aesthetics,
the anthemion motif represents a deep appreciation for history, design, and creativity—bringing its timeless beauty
and craftsmanship into contemporary
spaces and everyday
life.
